The new sailing season is fast approaching.  It is time to get out the varnish and paint (for those with wooden boats) or the hose (for those with GRP boats).  Some boats are already down on the foreshore and the season will start officially on Sunday 29 April.  Sailing will then continue as usual on Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings.  Friday sailing will take place during June, July and August.  

ADULT SAILING COURSE
Arrangements are being made for this years Adult and Junior courses.  The adult course will be run from Monday 18th June to Friday 29th June on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7.00 PMto 9.30PM.  Only twelve participants will be accepted on this course.  Gearóid Ó Brádaighand Kieran Milner will be contacting helms to get a commitment to help with the course.  

It is intended that there will be twelve GP14 on the water every evening of the course.  If you can make yourself available each evening or only some evenings during the course, please contact either Kieran at 044 9342058 or Gearóid at 044 9347115.  Your help in this matter would be very much appreciated.

Application forms are available from Kieran Milner or at this link.  The cost of the course, including one year’s membership of the club is €280.

JUNIOR SAILING
All the instructors are in place for this year’s junior course to be conducted form Monday 2 July to 21 July.   Full details including cost etc. are available here or contact James Hackettfor for application forms.

POWER BOAT 
It has been decided to conduct a series of refresher courses for those who have the power boat certificate.  This course is intended to bring people up to date and remind them of their responsibilities when driving the power boats.  The course will take about two hours and will be run on a Saturday morning.  So if you have the power boat course done, please contact Michael Collender 087 2529433 or and let him know when you are available to attend the refresher course.

Power boat courses will also be conducted during the season and again Michael Collenderwill be coordinating these.

CLUB SUBSCRIPTIONS
Members are reminded that subscriptions are due before the 1st May.  If you have not paid yours yet please arrange to do so.  Any member of the committee will accept subscriptions.
