2.0    Pre-start Preparation

Open the self-bailers. 
Check th boat set up before the race commences.

Check List:   

    Kicker.
    Outhaul / Downhaul.
    Fair lead Adjustment - Are your Jib Cars set correctly ?:
To tell if your fairleads are set correctly the 3 telltails on the windward side of the jib should break together.
If the top tell tail breaks first the fairlead needs to come forward this will closed the slot between the main and the jib (light air).
If the bottom telltail breaks first the jib cars should move back this will open the slot between the main and the jib (windy day).
   
    Hoist the 
Spinnaker  
Replace it on the correct side (Port course, port side spinnaker).
Spinnaker pole on the other side.(Port course, Starboard pole).
Twining lines (windward line on leeward one released).

Find the start and the windward mark

Judging the Line:
Point your boat head to wind on the start line, which ever end of the line the bow points towards that is the favoured end.
